When the Silver Storm struck Emerald City, Eric Manderson was a highly decorated police officer and member of the Swat Team. Dispatched to downtown to help deal with the strange event, he suddenly found his body changing. The time that followed was a hazy blur. He remembers feeling strange and primal as he stalked the streets. When he woke from the haze, he learned that he had transformed into a black hunting cat. He could remember little, and the lack of control terrified him.
He left the police force and took to drinking, living in fear of transforming and becoming a monster once more. And then he was approached by Mars Tech about its new program to train newly created metahumans. Would this be his chance to find a new place in life? A new purpose?
